“My Voice. My Promise. Her Future. Founder, EmpowerRise Hub SaveHer Movement Lead I pledge my voice, my leadership, and my courage to the fight to end Female Genital Mutilation in Somalia. I pledge to never remain silent when a girl’s safety, dignity, or future is at risk. I pledge to stand with survivors, protect girls at risk, challenge harmful norms, and speak truth where silence has protected FGM for far too long. I pledge to use my leadership to bring young people to the forefront of this movement not as observers, but as advocates, changemakers, and leaders of a Somalia free from FGM. I pledge to lead and grow SaveHer as a national youth-led movement to end FGM in Somalia, building a generation that refuses to accept FGM as inevitable and believes that change is possible. I pledge to carry this mission with courage, compassion, integrity, and persistence until protecting girls is not simply a promise, but a reality. Because no tradition is greater than a girl’s right to be safe. No silence is stronger than our collective voice. And no girl should have to lose part of herself to belong. Today, I make this commitment not only for the girls we can reach, but for the girls whose voices have not yet been heard. I will speak. I will stand. I will lead. I will SaveHer. I AM A SAVEHER.”

“FGM waa arrin saameyn ku yeelan karta caafimaadka iyo nolosha gabdhaha. Waxaan bulshada ku wacyigelin lahaa dhibaatooyinka uu keeni karo, waxaana ku dhiirrigelin lahaa waalidiinta iyo bulshada inay gabdhaha ka ilaaliyaan FGM. Wadajir ayaan u abuuri karnaa mustaqbal ammaan ah oo caafimaad qaba gabdhaheena.”
