About Us
EmpowerRise Hub is a women-led and youth-led innovation hub based in Mogadishu, Somalia, dedicated to empowering young people and women through innovation, entrepreneurship, STEM education, digital skills, sustainable livelihoods, leadership, advocacy, and community-driven solutions.
Our Story
EmpowerRise Hub was founded following the journey of our Founder and Executive Director, Mushtaq Muhudin Adam, through the UNFPA Somalia EmpowerHer Innovation Challenge, where she received holistic training, mentorship, and support in innovation and entrepreneurship. Inspired by this transformative experience, she established EmpowerRise Hub to create opportunities for young people and women to develop skills, build livelihoods, innovate, and lead positive change.
Today, EmpowerRise Hub has grown into a youth-led and women-led organization working across innovation, STEM, entrepreneurship, digital skills, livelihoods, leadership, advocacy, and community development — anchored by two flagship initiatives, SaveHer Initiative and GOOSHA.
A Somalia where young people and women are empowered to innovate, lead, build sustainable livelihoods, and create a safer, more inclusive and prosperous future.

The SaveHer Pledge
The SaveHer Pledge is a public commitment to stand with girls and women and take action against female genital mutilation (FGM) in Somalia.
By taking this pledge, you commit to speaking up against FGM, supporting girls at risk, promoting the rights, safety, and dignity of girls and women, and standing against gender-based violence, period poverty, and other harmful practices that affect their lives and opportunities.
